Hello!

I’m Ashley

I’m always up for a new adventure, so far my favorite has been skydiving! People often describe her as friendly, charismatic, and always has a smile! I took my first photograph at 8 years old on a disposable camera (the kind you had to take into the store to develop the film before ever seeing your photo). It was for a school project that had a list of things to take pictures of…while taking photographs my parents and brothers commented on the fact that she would stand in weird positions and take photos of “non-traditional” things. Out of that school project began her love of photography.

While camera technology developed, my eye for unique viewpoints and alluring details grew. My dyslexia is an amazing gift that allows me to see the world differently. I learned to use images instead of words to truly communicate. As an autism mom, I doesn’t believe anyone is limited by their circumstances. The world provides life lessons for us to learn and should never be restricted to only kid-free 20-somethings. My goal is to provide other mothers with the inspiration and strategic planning to create a family lifestyle revolving around international travel, once in a lifetime experiences, and education through cultural appreciation.

Meet the Family

  • Alan

    THE HUSBAND

I am very lucky to have been able to find my best friend. He’s fun loving and loves to run, a lot, usually 26.2 miles to be exact. Alan wins the award for most supportive husband. Our adventure started when we went swimming with sharks in the open water and hasn’t slowed down since.

  • Jesse

    THE SON

Jesse is excited to start his freshman year of high school as a honor student. Just before his 12th birthday Jesse was diagnosed with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD but he doesn’t let that stop him. He’s ambitious and loves to have fun. The thing he’s most looking forward to trying next is skydiving.

  • Olivia

    THE DAUGHTER

Olivia is the definition of small but mighty. She’s been dancing since she was 1 year old. Her love for all things cute explains her passion for animals. She’s also obsessed with books and fashion, which is why she has a collection of big hair bows and a Coco Chanel book on her bedside table. People are often impressed by her extensive vocabulary, excitable nature and gorgeous blue eyes.

Real life.

It all begins with family and this is mine. The good, the bad and all the fun. I started recording just before my son’s 12th birthday. He was just diagnosed with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD. I knew we’d have to move out of state, away from our family and the only home we’d ever known. I wanted to get to know other moms in the special needs community and find a safe place to share and encourage others. From skydiving to crying on Mother’s Day and Olivia’s first day of school, it’s all there. We share with you what we we’ve learned and we don’t hold back. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more!
